Private lessons are conducted in Balgownie.
Several years and thousands of guitar lessons later, Scott has taught people from many levels of experience, ability and interest- from people starting out with the instrument to gigging musicians seeking to further their knowledge.
Improvisation and finger-style guitar a specialty, though acoustic, slide, jazz, blues, rock, and country styles are all catered for.
He has also conducted many workshops for school or church bands to offer some direction and advice to get the playing together for greater musical impact!

Pricing
Individual lessons are $30; a 4-lesson block is $100.
If booking a block of lessons this amount is payable by the first lesson.
Lessons are conducted in 30-minute time slots.
Cancellations
If someone needs to cancel a lesson they may do so up to 24 hours before the scheduled time. If a lesson is cancelled within 24 hours the lesson will still be charged, though a mutually convenient time for a makeup lesson will be organised asap.
If someone simply does not attend and fails to give notice the lesson will be charged; and unless there are extenuating services, an alternative lesson will not be offered.
Punctuality
It is very important that students arrive on time. Scott may be teaching several more lessons after your scheduled time, or may have other commitments that he needs to attend to. Running late does not mean that the lesson can or will be extended.
Similarly, arriving significantly early does not mean that your lesson is able to commence then.
Instruments and lesson resources
It is essential that you have your own instrument. Scott's guitars are not available for people to use for the lesson, nor take home with them. Similarly, Scott's equipment is not available for loan.
If attending lessons on a regular basis please bring relevant materials with you each time.
If you are looking to purchase an instrument, Scott is able to organise guitars and the like through Engadine Music.
